A faster way to build multilingual menus
AutoPoly Menu Translator helps WordPress administrators create a translated copy of an existing classic menu. It preserves the original hierarchy and connects menu items to translated posts, pages, categories, and other supported taxonomy terms whenever Polylang translations are available.
On-device translation
Translation runs through the supported Chrome browser’s built-in Translator API, helping you avoid separate translation credentials and usage fees.
Structure preserved
Parent and child relationships are retained so dropdowns and nested navigation remain organized in the translated menu.
Safer menu creation
The plugin validates permissions and requests, avoids overwriting an existing target menu, and rolls back if creation fails.
How it works
- Choose an existing classic WordPress menu.
- Select the target Polylang language.
- Let Chrome translate eligible labels on your device.
- Review the generated menu before assigning it to a theme location.
Requirements and notes
- WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer
- Polylang with classic WordPress menus
- A desktop Chrome version that supports the Translator API
- Machine-translated labels should be reviewed before publishing
- The Navigation block is not currently supported
